Keeping it brief today.

First let me say that this is not for the faint of heart. As if I didn't have enough respect and admiration for fire fighters, for my bad ass instructors.....I do now. There is no other way to say it, but this is not easy and if it was easy then everyone would do it. (And yes, I have been talked off the ledge.) But this has become a new passion. This is a commitment that is so rewarding, to serve the community, to help those in distress, to save lives, to forge new connections and bond with some pretty amazing people.

Over the past few weeks, we've been hitting the training hard from search and rescue drills in smoked out rooms, to wall breach-self-rescue drills in the Mask Confidence Course and TOAC (Task Orientated Air Consumption) exercises.

To be honest, there have been few equipment hiccups for me along the way and its easy for those things to mess with your head. But there is an endless amount of support and encouragement from the instructors and the IFO Summer Cohort because we are a family.

TOAC Test is Saturday. For those of you that are curious. Click the link to view the skills.

Time to run but ask all of you to send out good vibes and energy for us on Saturday.

We got this. #IFOSUMMERCOHORT #FAMILY

Will keep you posted.
